HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

Establishment of the Department

In British India, King Edward Medical College was a prestigious seat of learning. The Department of Pathology was established in 1892. Surgeon Captain Murray was the Head of the Department. Later the Department was headed by luminaries like Major Melville, Captain Foster and Captain McKenzie.
